"Spring" Dialogue started a few years ago. People were having so much fun at the summer weekend retreat that we didn't want to go a year without seeing these folks again!
If you haven't been to Kansas Dialogue, this is a great way to sample it without committing to a whole weekend. 40-50 people from around the state will be attending.
Everyone who attends agrees to our Ground Rules: All comments are off the record. We encourage civility and mutual respect.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: MONDAY APRIL 6th
Here's the schedule for Saturday April 11th:
2:00 - Meet at the Baker University Wetlands & Discovery Center 1365 N 1250 Rd, Lawrence, KS 66046
The Baker Wetlands have a fascinating and controversial history.
The area includes 927 acres of one of the most diverse habitats in Kansas. Once home to the Kaw Nation, the Osage Nation, and the Kickapoo Tribe, the Wetlands contain at least 278 species of birds, 98 other vertebrate species, and 487 plant species. Our guide that day will be the Center's naturalist specialist, Bluebird Taylor-McKown. She will give us a presentation at the Discovery Center, and then take us on a walking tour.
4:00 - 6:00 THE DIALOGUE
We'll be having one general session and 2 quick round tables, where we plunge into a topic for 30 minutes with 8 people.
6:00 - 7:15 SUPPER AND INFORMAL CONVERSATION
